North Rome Church of God is a Spirit filled church with expressive worship and enriching ministries, all designed to lead people into a life changing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Our History
North Rome is a church with a rich heritage in the city of Rome. In the fall of 1918 believers began to meet and worship by the light of lanterns in a tent on the corner of Calhoun and North Avenues. In 1919 the church was organized as a congregation of the Church of God headquartered in Cleveland, TN. In the early 20’s the church purchased a white frame building on Callahan Street. That building was remodeled, and additional buildings added in the 1930’s. The congregation remained there until the spring of 1961.
1961 brought the relocation to the current property as the growing church built a new sanctuary and educational facilities on North Broad Street. A larger sanctuary was built at North Broad Street in 1990. A balcony and larger lobby were added in the next year along with a new gym. 2011 brought a complete remodel of the sanctuary to further prepare North Rome for delivering the Gospel into the 21st century. In November of 2013, Pastor Terry Addis began a new era at North Rome, with a new determination to reach the community of Rome for Christ.
Today North Rome Church of God is focused on ministry that changes lives. Through ministry on campus, in our community, and around the world via internet, livestream, social media, and missions North Rome is impacting lives and families through the gospel of Jesus Christ ministered in the spirit and power of Pentecost.
